Christian Scott has great control but he was sporting a 5.06FIP in triple. Klub you said Povich was on a hot streak but the underlying numbers say that Povich start to the season is legit and it’s Scott who is overachieving his underlying numbers. When teams get the scouting report on Scott and his k/9 numbers do not go up when the other shoe drops it’s going to hurt.

However I am a believer in manoah he going old school by bringing back his changeup that he abandoned after 2021. He not the 2022 version of manoah but 2021 manoah pitch mix is a fine manoah. 

Scott has recorded a QS in 3/4 starts and has 21K to just 5 BB. Makes no sense but alrighty

Brooklyn I've had the most pitching points in this league every year since the league started. And by quite a bit most years. This year I'm 3-4 after April and 200 points back of some people. If I had 200 more pitching points and was in first in pitching again, guess how many points I'd have bud? As many as you and right near the top.

This is the best offense I've ever had - I kept more bats than ever before. I invested more in offense than ever before.

I'm off to a slow start because my pitching has not been league best yet. It's really that simple.

I had to pick between Hicks and Detmers in that deal. I liked Detmers a little bit more because he should be able to throw 180-200 innings this year. If Hicks stays healthy, he's an absolute stud in San Fran for the next few years. Hicks/Bradish were traded almost exclusively for injury reasons.

Nola actually exemplifies why you and Brooklyn are boom or bust. Nola one of the most reliable arms in fantasy, but you two dorks are two busy chasing the next big thing to take the points that are out there.

Nothing about my team is old. As noted last year, I had the 4th youngest team in the league and the 3rd youngest set of keepers. you and brooklyn are just obsessed with children and regurgitating nonsense - should change your team names to the Epstein Express.

For the 5th year in a row.... pitching starts slower than hitting in fantasy due to inning and pitch caps. I have started slow every year but one in this league. You two jamokes have been back patting each other every year only to be embarrassed as the year went on.

In order for you to win the league, you needed a guy to do something that had never been done in baseball history lol

That also ignoring the fact that I've sat about 400 pitching points this year in terrible start/sits and my stats generally should probably be even better ERA/WHIP wise. Brook and Kluber have like 2 bench arms total, so they don't have to worry about bad start/sits on pitchers.

I would agree because Povich is not the typical pitcher that I tend to target especially for prospects I don’t look at the results I look at the changes that he made that led up to the results..

-Povich has increased his control

-povich had a elite swinging strike rate on his 4seam fastball “love that”

-Povich swinging strike rate is up their with scott “love that”

-Povich threw 126inn with 171k in 2023 so 160inn in 2024 is reasonable especially on a good orioles team

if you compare that to scott 87inn what can you expect 120inn and he threw 20 already so 100 innings. Povich is a better win now player Scott a better trade chip that you hope someone will bite 

to compare the two

-Povich is younger and is a better strikeout pitcher 

-Scott has elite control and has better k/bb ratio

Povich doesn’t have reliever risk his fastball doesn’t play up in the bullpen like a Jobe/scott would he sits92-94 he a pitcher who throws the kitchen sink at you. Scouting reports said he had a bad fastball but in 2024 he has a whiff rate on the 4 Seam fastball higher than skines that won’t last but it shows promise. He reminds me of Joe Ryan from the left side were his fastball is sneaky good

i was looking into Reid Detmers there might be something there? I  can’t see in the data on why his fastball is such an effective pitch but detmers explanation is that he is tunneling better this season I see that. He significantly changed the slider shape and speed throwing it 3 mph slower.

Oneil Cruz and Elly de la Cruz and Josh Lowe don’t belong in the same conversation for the following reasons 

1) nobody can honestly say that I want Josh Lowe over the Cruz Brothers “and yes I know joe they are not brothers mr. technical”  

2) the Cruz brothers don’t sit vs lefties they play vs lefties while the rays don’t believe that Lowe can hit lefties look at this season the rays had 3 left handed pitchers start against them and Lowe sat all 3 games in a span of 7 days.

Tj and etc are up in the last decade+ because every pitcher is throwing max effort every pitch. Velocity way up.  Some guys can manage it but most really can't living at those velocity levels.

Strider always a max effort high spin guy. 

The amount of TJ on star pitches is absurd right now. Whether it’s baseballs, time clock, whatever. It’s killing the game

Lol the two week periods are terrible for me since every pitcher has two starts in the entire league so I have no edge. Regular weeks is where pitching options help as I have 2 steps when others don't. 

Hence why I almost always start slow.

Jake cronenworth in 2021 scored 451 points in 2022 scored 432 points if he scored 430 points last season and that’s after he had a break out 2020 he would be the 9th ranked 2b 5 points behind arraez

So we have 3 solid seasons of Jake cronenworth and 1 bad season the question is was the 2020-2022 or the 2023 season the outlier season given that he looked good in spring training plus he already contributed 12 points in 2 games he is most definitely worth the 200 FAAB points that it cost to aquire him 

the mistake was made by other teams that didn’t have a top 10 2b for them to not bid on him or only to bid 1 dollar is the mistake 

I don’t have hate for anyone however I would like nothing more than to beat you both so bad that the rts commissioner has to step in and set up a mercy rule just for the beating that’s taking place… I know that will never happen but one could dream

I do personally have launch and myself In a tier by ourselves as of Right now. A lot will change. Yahtzee was actually my sleeper LAST year and flirted with it for a while. Keller top 25 last year now has an offense. Volpe gonna be rock solid. Quietly one of the best off seasons of any team In the league while not owning a pick inside the first 4 rounds. 12) Smashedtaters

Smashtaters is the 12th ranked team and his team name should be tatertots because Lane Thomas as the best hitter on his team doesn’t exactly strike fear in an opposing teams heart. Smash got lucky he got a trade over on brooklyn by acquiring strand and Kyle harrison for a soon to be injured alcantara both players have the potential to go nuclear for Smash in the 2024 season! I’m Kind of disappointed in Smashtaters 2024 draft he Was drafting high floor players with lower ceilings while he should of been drafting players like caminero, merril and delauter. Smashed should of followed in Brooklyn footsteps and tanked the 2024 season!

11) Bahstuhn Dunkings

Bahstuhn Dunkings is ranked 11th but that’s impressive because the team that he inherited was complete trash and Bahstuhn 2023 draft picks were very unimpressive and he was looking like Cards 2.0 by trying to win year one with a subpar team by drafting guys like Bryant, lauer, stripping and walker. However Bahstuhn Dunkings is looking to take the Cards 2.0 label away from himself by having a solid 2024 draft the only question is that will it pay dividends for him in 2025 and beyond!

10) StickyBalls 

StickyBalls is ranked 10th and inherited a solid core of players mainly pitchers. As Sticky gained a solid core of players he inherited from Stalin, Joe lost his yes man in Stalin who he used to spend long nights with their pillow talk. Sticky is one of Joe’s rivals from another league that looks to be gunning for joe 5th spot. The problem Stalin had is that he was too pitching heavy and ignored offence and the only one that thought he could win was joe who was encouraging Stalin to double down on a losing strategy. Sticky is changing his strategy by trading for hitters pasquantino and marte 

9) Fireskunks

Fireskunks is ranked 9th but he will be a solid competitor all season with his star studded offence. What Fireskunks lacks is solid pitching if lodolo, Javier and gore breakout watchout he will be competing for a championship 

8) CashCow

CashCow is ranked 8th and looks to be a CashCow “for the rest of the league.” Looking at Cows roster he does look to be dangerous but in 2025 with players like skenes, tiedamann, mcclanahan and springs his team can be a contender but unfortunately for Cow it’s 2024 and he is looking more like a pretender by relying on relief pitchers to get him through the year and RP score less than SP 

7) Yahtzee

Yahtzee Is ranked 7th and I was dead wrong about Yahtzee back in 2021 I thought he was going to be the leagues punching bag. However he continues to make small incremental transactions that at first seem  meh but when added together they are difference makers. he keeps getting better in 2024 he got better by adding Wyatt Langford that add to the abundance of young talent that he already has is impressive and it’s only a matter of time before he a serious threat to win a championship 

6) Brooklyn

Brooklyn is ranked 6th a team that has been tanking a year and a half. Oh I forgot RTS might see this what I meant to say was “I lost and I totally wasn’t losing on purpose I was losing for a purpose” wait! What? That’s not right… Um anyways… Brooklyn definitely has some star power joe used to always say “that brooklyn likes big names and he likes big production” but enough about joe this is about brooklyn. Brooklyn loves his big names his pitching starts off with the pocket aces of strider and burnes and the offence has some electric players of big daddy vladdy and the Cruz unicorns who will be launching Cruz missles all season while both running as fast as T.Hill. Brooklyn put the league on notice this isn’t going to be the AAA dodgers

5) Fighting

Fighting is ranked 5th and has a pitching first strategy  but this strategy worked until baseball eliminated the shift his team is looking less and less intimidating as the seasons pass by. Freeman is going to be 35 and the decline is coming it’s just a matter of when and when that comes fighting offence will be a paper tiger that will only strike fear in Tatertots. Fighting sees the writing on the wall as he drafted more prospects than he normally would I personally like the abel and Reese Olson picks so you know there going to be winners. I’m going to end it by saying bye bye urias

DJ is ranked 4th kind of high for a team that’s never made the playoffs coming off a 7-14 record in 2023. To be fair the same could be said about Brooklyn being ranked 6th after having a 6-15 record. However if you look at DJ talent he can definitely make a championship run with players like allies, bo, adley and Julio with some high upside arms he definitely a contender for a championship 

3) Cougars 

Cougars is ranked 3th I’m expecting a big year from Cougars I am expecting big years from both puk and story! I wanted to keep story I would have if he didn’t lose 2b eligibility. the cole injury was brutal news but then you got good news blake snell landed in San Francisco best case scenario for him great ballpark and solid defence he should be elite there I am expecting big things I hope to get my championship rematch against you with different results of corse

2) Launch Angle

Launch Angle Is ranked 2nd personally feel that’s kind of high. However if Bowden Francis is as good as Launch preaches to us all he is can live up to the #2 rankings 

1) Kluber Lang 11

Kluber Lang 11 is ranked 1st but before we get into the reasons come on Kluber show some originality adding a number at the end of Kluber Lang is not that original plus I don’t know how you keep track of your rosters of all your teams with out unique team names so that you can separate them. For others how kluber runs his teams is how I would run your teams if I was you. If you want to hear why he number 1 just look at any of his messages that he posted in any league he will tell you why he is better than you or anyone.

Soooooo...I am in the new league and have been drafting since President's Day..  Good news is that we are now in the 25th round and I am looking for any of your deep draft recommendations.  Why not, since i have a league full of experts at my disposal.  I even just drafted Jordan Hicks in the 24th round with a nod to this league.  Any thoughts are much appreciated.

I don't think there's been a single year that I've been top 3 via any of those public ranking tools.

My concern this year is time on Monday's, not players drafted in round 20. Brook you always too busy looking what other teams/leagues doing to make your own strategy and rankings. 

The good thing for brook is I'm in one or his leagues so he can piggyback me.
