Aaron Judge went 4-for-4 with three doubles, a home run and two RBIs, and the New York Yankees pulled away for a 4-0 win over the Minnesota Twins on Wednesday night in Minneapolis.

Anthony Volpe and Giancarlo Stanton also drove in one run apiece for New York, which beat the Twins for the second game in a row. The Yankees will go for a series sweep on Thursday afternoon.

Edouard Julien hit a double for Minnesota's only extra-base hit. The Twins managed four hits on the night and were shut out for the second time this season.

New York's Marcus Stroman (3-2) limited Twins hitters to two hits in six shutout innings. He walked three and struck out two.

Minnesota's Pablo Lopez (4-3) gave up three runs on 10 hits in 6 1/3 innings. He walked none and struck out three.

Luke Weaver (two) and Caleb Ferguson (one) combined for three scoreless innings out of the Yankees' bullpen to secure the victory.

The Yankees wasted little time in grabbing a 1-0 lead. Judge crushed a solo homer an estimated 467 feet to left field in the top of the first.

Judge's blast landed in the third deck of the outfield. It was his 11th homer of the season and his fifth in the past nine games.

In the second, Volpe hit a sacrifice fly to put the Yankees on top 2-0. He drove in Gleyber Torres, who reached on a single and advanced on back-to-back hits by Jose Trevino and Oswaldo Cabrera.

Stanton made it 3-0 in the third with an RBI single to left field. He stepped to the plate with runners on first and third and nobody out, and he stayed hot by notching at least one hit for the ninth time in the past 10 games.

Judge continued his impressive night with an RBI double to center in the seventh. He drove in Juan Soto, who hit a one-out double to right.
