Raptors G/F RJ Barrett (knee sprain) out at least a week

Wed Nov 26 11:07am ET
Field Level Media

Toronto Raptors swingman RJ Barrett will be sidelined for at least a week with a right knee sprain, the team announced Wednesday.

An MRI revealed no structural damage for Barrett, who sustained the injury on Sunday in the third quarter of Toronto's 119-109 win against the Brooklyn Nets.

Barrett, 25, is averaging 19.4 points, 4.8 rebounds and 3.8 assists in 17 games (all starts) for the Raptors, who take an eight-game winning streak into their Wednesday game against the visiting Indiana Pacers.

Barrett has averaged 18.9 points, 5.5 rebounds and 3.3 assists in 404 games (403 starts) with the Knicks (2019-23) and Raptors since New York drafted him No. 3 overall in 2019.

Player Notes
Steven Adams Wed Nov 26 9:40am

Houston Rockets center Steven Adams (ankle) will miss Wednesday's matchup against Golden State. His absence does not guarantee a major role for Clint Capela, who has been a fringe option and could still get squeezed if Houston leans into small-ball looks. Capela has averaged 2.0 points and 3.2 rebounds across his last five appearances, but Houston's thin frontcourt with Kevin Durant (personal reasons), Tari Eason (oblique), and Dorian Finney-Smith (ankle) all out could lead to a slight bump in minutes. He remains a deeper-league rebounding flyer rather than a standard-league option.

Dennis Schroder Wed Nov 26 9:10am

Sacramento Kings guard Dennis Schroder (hip) is questionable for Wednesday's matchup against Phoenix after appearing in every game so far. The veteran has recently slid into more of a backup role behind Russell Westbrook but is still providing 14.6 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 6.0 assists per game on 43.1 percent shooting over his last five outings. If he's ruled out, Westbrook takes on more creation duties, and Malik Monk, Nique Clifford, and Keon Ellis each gain a slight uptick in minutes and touches.

Grayson Allen Wed Nov 26 8:50am

Phoenix Suns guard/forward Grayson Allen (quadriceps) has been ruled out for Wednesday's matchup against Sacramento, marking his sixth straight absence. His continued absence keeps Collin Gillespie and Jordan Goodwin in elevated roles. Gillespie has averaged 14.6 points, 5.0 assists, and 1.4 steals over his last five games, highlighted by 16 points and three steals in 29 minutes against Houston. Goodwin has also been productive, contributing 11.6 points and 1.8 steals on 53.0 percent shooting in that same span. Both remain viable streamers while Allen is sidelined.

Zach Edey Wed Nov 26 8:20am

Memphis Grizzlies center Zach Edey (head) is questionable for Wednesday's matchup against New Orleans after exiting Monday's loss in the first quarter and not returning. His potential absence positions Jock Landale and Santi Aldama for increased roles, and both have shown they can produce when given minutes. Landale is coming off a 26-point, 10-rebound effort in 31 minutes, while Aldama contributed 12 points, six rebounds, six assists, two steals, and two blocks in the same game as Memphis sorted through its frontcourt rotation.

Neemias Queta Wed Nov 26 8:00am

Boston Celtics forward/center Neemias Queta (ankle) is expected to miss Wednesday's matchup with Detroit, giving Boston's reserve bigs another chance to carve out minutes. Luka Garza has been the more productive option lately, averaging 12.6 points on 75.0 percent shooting across his last five outings, while Chris Boucher remains in the rotation despite minimal offensive output. Both are fringe fantasy options for now, and it remains unclear which one coach Joe Mazzulla will trust most with Queta sidelined.

Norman Powell Wed Nov 26 7:20am

Miami Heat guard/forward Norman Powell (groin) is listed as probable for Wednesday's clash against the Milwaukee Bucks, indicating that he is on track to return to the lineup. A groin issue kept Powell off the floor on Monday night against the Dallas Mavericks. Powell's move to Miami has worked out superbly for him, as the 32-year-old is averaging a career-high 25.4 points, 3.9 rebounds, 2.4 assists, and 1.3 steals. However, it remains to be seen how well Powell meshes with Tyler Herro, who made his season debut against Dallas, scoring 24 points in 29 minutes.

Andrew Wiggins Wed Nov 26 7:20am

Miami Heat forward Andrew Wiggins (hip) is questionable for Wednesday's matchup against the Milwaukee Bucks. He has missed three games with a left hip flexor strain. Luckily for Miami, Tyler Herro has just made his season debut, and Norman Powell (groin) is expected to return to the lineup on Wednesday, lessening the impact of Wiggins' absence. Simone Fontecchio could see additional action for Miami if Wiggins doesn't return on Wednesday night. The Italian forward is primarily a three-point sniper, averaging 10.8 points per game with 2.3 makes from downtown.

Shaedon Sharpe Wed Nov 26 7:10am

Portland Trail Blazers guard/forward Shaedon Sharpe (calf) is listed as questionable on the injury report ahead of Wednesday's contest against the San Antonio Spurs. He has been sidelined for four games due to a right calf strain. Jrue Holiday (calf) recently also landed on the shelf, opening the door for Sidy Cissoko to join the starting unit. The 21-year-old has been mediocre as a starter, averaging 7.5 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 1.8 assists in 25.0 minutes per game. Cissoko scored half of his 30 points as a starter on Friday against the Golden State Warriors.

Giannis Antetokounmpo Wed Nov 26 7:00am

Milwaukee Bucks forward/center Giannis Antetokounmpo (groin) is considered questionable for Wednesday's matchup against the Miami Heat. He has been on the shelf for a week with a left groin strain but is nearing his return. Initially, Antetokounmpo was ruled out for 1-2 weeks. Bobby Portis and Jericho Sims have shared starts during Antetokounmpo's three-game absence. Portis was more effective coming off the bench on Monday against the Portland Trail Blazers, so Bucks head coach Doc Rivers may give Sims a second consecutive start on Wednesday if Antetokounmpo doesn't return. However, Sims played only 11 minutes against Portland and hasn't been impactful from a fantasy perspective.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander Wed Nov 26 6:50am

Oklahoma City Thunder guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (illness) may miss his first game of the season on Wednesday against the Minnesota Timberwolves, as the team has listed him as questionable on the injury report. The Canadian star is battling an illness, and his exit from the lineup could give Ajay Mitchell an opportunity to start. Mitchell has been one of the most productive bench players in the league this season, but a starting role would provide his fantasy value with an additional bump. In his previous five starts this season, Mitchell has averaged 18.2 points, 4.2 rebounds, 4.4 assists, and 2.4 steals.

Luka Doncic Wed Nov 26 3:00am

Lakers' G Luka Doncic recorded a double-double, scoring 43 points with 13 assists in a 135-118 win over the Clippers on Tuesday, Nov. 25.

Anthony Black Wed Nov 26 3:00am

Orlando's G Anthony Black scored 31 points on 12-of-17 shooting in a 144-103 win over Philadelphia on Tuesday, Nov. 25. Black is owned in only 17.3% leagues.

CJ McCollum Wed Nov 26 3:00am

Washington's G CJ McCollum scored 46 points on 17-of-25 shooting in a 132-113 win over the Hawks on Tuesday, Nov. 25.

Trendon Watford Tue Nov 25 10:00pm

Philadelphia 76ers forward Trendon Watford (adductor) will not return to Tuesday's NBA Cup clash with the Orlando Magic. With Philly down Joel Embiid (knee), Kelly Oubre Jr. (knee), Paul George (ankle) and VJ Edgecombe (calf), Watford was in line for extra action. Unfortunately, he suffered a left adductor strain near the end of the first half, requiring assistance off the floor. Watford would go on to finish with eight points and one rebound in 11 minutes. While it's far too early to speculate, it appears there's a good chance he'll miss extended time, starting with Friday's game versus the Brooklyn Nets, his former team. Fantasy managers could see more minutes from Justin Edwards and Jared McCain, although their stock will fall once George, Edgecombe, Embiid, or Oubre are back in the lineup.

Corey Kispert Tue Nov 25 9:40pm

Washington Wizards forward Corey Kispert (thumb) exited Tuesday's NBA Cup win over the Atlanta Hawks. He did not return. The 26-year-old was well on his way to having his best game of the 2025 campaign before a right thumb injury ended his night after 24 minutes. He'd go on to finish with 19 points, three steals, and one block while shooting 4-for-8 from behind the three-point line. Kispert will presumably undergo further testing heading into Friday's matchup with the Indiana Pacers. If he ends up missing time, Justin Champagnie and Cam Whitmore could see more work, with one potentially entering the starting lineup.

Marvin Bagley III Tue Nov 25 6:10pm

Washington Wizards forward/center Marvin Bagley III (hip) won't play on Tuesday versus the Hawks, marking his third-straight absence. The former Duke Blue Devil has averaged only 7.6 points and 4.4 rebounds in 15.8 minutes per contest this season, so there aren't very many fantasy managers awaiting his return. While there might be streaming opportunities down the line if Alexandre Sarr misses time, Bagley currently isn't worth rostering in most fantasy setups. With that said, his absence will still open the door for more minutes from Tristan Vukcevic, who is coming off a 12-point, eight-rebound, two-block, two-steal showing in Saturday's loss to the Chicago Bulls.

Luke Kennard Tue Nov 25 6:00pm

Atlanta Hawks guard Luke Kennard (hip) is available for Tuesday's NBA Cup clash with the Washington Wizards after missing Sunday's win over the Charlotte Hornets. The 29-year-old has seen steady minutes for Atlanta this season (22.1 minutes per contest). He is also averaging 8.1 points and 44.2% shooting from behind the arc. However, despite a consistent role, Kennard is streaky on the offensive end, posting double-digit scoring in four of his nine appearances in November, giving him little fantasy upside outside of his efficiency from deep.

RJ Barrett Tue Nov 25 5:10pm

Esfandiar Baraheni of The Athletic reports that Toronto Raptors forwardRJ Barrett(knee) won't play on Wednesday against Indiana. The former Knick sprained his left knee in Sunday's victory over the Brooklyn Nets and will miss his second straight game tomorrow evening. While Barrett is sidelined,Gradey DickandJamal Sheadmay benefit the most from extra playing time. However, both are risky fantasy picks sinceBrandon Ingram,Scottie Barnes, andImmanuel Quickley will likely absorb most of the available minutes during Barrett's absence.

Landry Shamet Tue Nov 25 5:00pm

New York Knicks guard/forwardLandry Shamet(shoulder) will miss Wednesday's meeting with the Charlotte Hornets. Shament will be out for the second game due to a sprained right shoulder. The 28-year-old has averaged 9.2 points with 1.6 rebounds and 1.6 assists over his last five outings while shooting 47.2 percent from the field and 44.0 percent from beyond the arc. His extended absence will likely continue to lead to Miles McBride and Jordan Clarkson seeing extra minutes.

Nikola Jovic Tue Nov 25 4:50pm

According to Anthony Chiang of the Miami Herald, Miami Heat forward Nikola Jovic (hip) is listed as questionable for Wednesday's matchup with the Milwaukee Bucks. Jovic has missed four straight games due to a hip impingement. Jaime Jaquez Jr. (hip), Andrew Wiggins (hip), and Dru Smith (hip) are also considered questionable for tomorrow evening's contest. Simone Fontecchio and Pelle Larsson both carry marginal fantasy value, but with extra minutes, they could offer solid fantasy production on Wednesday night if Jovic is unable to suit up.
