Houston Texans running back Joe Mixon (foot/ankle) remains away from team facilities as he continues to recover from an offseason injury, and recent developments suggest a return this season is becoming less likely. The team has not indicated any expectation of seeing Mixon on the field in 2025, and rookie Woody Marks appears poised to take over as the lead back for the foreseeable future. Mixon made an immediate impact in his first season with Houston, rushing for 1,016 yards on 4.1 yards per carry and totaling 11 touchdowns. With his absence looking long-term, fantasy managers and Texans fans will need to pivot toward Marks and the team's committee approach in the backfield, leaving Mixon's once-promising fantasy potential on hold indefinitely.

Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson (hamstring) is likely sidelined until after the team's Week 7 bye, dealing a massive blow to an already struggling 1-3 squad. Jackson suffered the injury in last week's loss to Kansas City, forcing backup Cooper Rush into action, where he managed just 52 passing yards on 13 attempts. With their franchise QB out, Baltimore will need to lean heavily on Derrick Henry and the ground game to keep the offense afloat, while Zay Flowers and Mark Andrews figure to remain the focal points through the air. The matchup doesn't get any easier in Week 5, as the Ravens face a Houston Texans defense that ranks fifth in total yards allowed and seventh against the pass, setting up a difficult environment for Rush and the passing attack. Fantasy managers should temper expectations for Baltimore's offense until Jackson returns.

New Orleans Saints tight end Juwan Johnson (ankle) returned to practice in a limited capacity Thursday after sitting out Wednesday, leaving his status for Sunday's matchup with the Giants in question. Johnson has been the team's top receiving option through four games, leading the Saints with 204 yards. Should he be ruled out, Jack Stoll is expected to step in at tight end, though he's managed just three catches for 28 yards and one touchdown this season. A Johnson absence would likely push more targets toward wideouts Rashid Shaheed and Brandin Cooks, as quarterback Spencer Rattler may be forced to lean on his playmakers in what could be a fast-paced contest against an improving Giants offense. Fantasy managers should monitor practice reports closely, as Johnson's availability could significantly impact New Orleans' passing game.

San Francisco 49ers TE George Kittle (hamstring) has had no setbacks in his recovery and has a 'real chance' to play against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 6, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
Fantasy Spin: Kittle has been sidelined since suffering the injury in the season opener, but he will immediately join the TE1 ranks whenever he returns.
From TheHuddle
Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Sterling Shepard (foot) was a full participant in practice Thursday, Oct. 2.
Fantasy Spin: On the heels of a solid Week 3 showing, Shepard had his worst performance of the season in Week 4. The two-catch, 14-yard outing coincided with the return of Chris Godwin, and even with Mike Evans sidelined, Shepard figures to be a distant No. 3 option behind Godwin and Emeka Egbuka. He doesn't need to be rostered.
From TheHuddle
Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Chris Godwin (ankle) was a full participant in practice Thursday, Oct. 2.
Fantasy Spin: Godwin made his season debut in Week 4, and while he finished with just three catches, he was targeted 10 times. He is likely still rounding into form as he returns from a major ankle injury, but with Mike Evans sidelined, Godwin should have a heavy workload whether he is ready or not. Consider him a volume-based WR3 in Week 5.
From TheHuddle
Tampa Bay Buccaneers CB Jamel Dean (hip), WR Mike Evans (hamstring), RB Bucky Irving (foot, shoulder), S Christian Izien (quadriceps) and CB Benjamin Morrison (hamstring) did not participate in practice Thursday, Oct. 2. LB Lavonte David (knee) and S Tyreke Smith (ankle) were limited during the session. WR Chris Godwin (ankle), OT Charlie Heck (knee), CB Zyon McCollum (thumb), QB Baker Mayfield (biceps, knee), WR Sterling Shepard (foot), DT Greg Gaines (pectoral), DE Logan Hall (groin), LB Haason Reddick (neck) and OT Tristan Wirfs (knee) were full participants.
From TheHuddle
Las Vegas Raiders tight end Brock Bowers (knee) was downgraded to a DNP in practice on Thursday after he put in a limited session to begin the week on Wednesday, according to Anthony Galaviz of The Fresno Bee. It remains to be seen if Bowers actually had a setback with his left knee, which he initially injured in Week 1, or if the Raiders are just giving him some extra rest before Week 5 versus the Indianapolis Colts. Despite injuring his knee in the season opener, Bowers has played in all four games this year. However, since going over 100 yards receiving in Week 1, the second-year TE hasn't cleared 47 yards, and he hasn't found the end zone yet, either. Bowers might need a full practice on Friday to avoid a questionable tag going into Sunday's game at Lucas Oil Stadium, but if he's active, he's a must-start in fantasy despite his slow start.

Kansas City Chiefs CB Kristian Fulton (ankle) was limited during practice Thursday, Oct. 2. WR Hollywood Brown (ankle), DE Mike Danna (quadriceps), QB Patrick Mahomes (groin), DE Charles Omenihu (ankle), WR JuJu Smith-Schuster (knee), OT Jawaan Taylor (knee), LS James Winchester (hamstring) and WR Xavier Worthy (shoulder) fully participated in practice.
From TheHuddle
Seattle Seahawks OT Joshua Jones (ankle), DE DeMarcus Lawrence (quadriceps), S Julian Love (hamstring) and CB Devon Witherspoon (knee) did not participate in practice Thursday, Oct. 2. S Nick Emmanwori (ankle) and WR Cody White (shoulder) fully participated in practice.
From TheHuddle
Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes (groin) fully participated in practice Thursday, Oct. 2.
Fantasy Spin: Mahomes is coming off his best game of the season when he threw four touchdowns. He has all of his receivers available again and will be a starting option in all fantasy leagues.
From TheHuddle
Kansas City Chiefs WR JuJu Smith-Schuster (knee) fully participated in practice Thursday, Oct. 2.
Fantasy Spin: Smith-Schuster was able to find the end zone last week and was targeted a season-high six targets during the game. He will likely see a handful of targets again this week and could be a possible flex option in some deeper leagues.
From TheHuddle
Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes (groin) finds himself on the Week 5 injury report, but he was able to practice in full on Thursday. Mahomes is a little banged up, but since he's practicing in full for the first practice of the week, he shouldn't have any issues playing on Monday night against the 3-1 Jacksonville Jaguars to close out Week 5 action. In the first couple of weeks, Mahomes played through a wrist injury, but this is the first time in 2025 he's been listed with a groin injury. It's worth watching, but it shouldn't sway fantasy managers to bench him in Week 5 against the Jags. However, it's worth noting that Mahomes hasn't run much the last two weeks after going for over 100 yards on the ground and two touchdowns in Weeks 1 and 2. The Jags have been a top-10 matchup for opposing QBs so far in terms of fantasy points, and KC's offense is much more dynamic now that receiver Xavier Worthy is back from his shoulder injury.
From RotoBaller
San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy (toe) suffered a setback with his turf-toe injury in the Week 4 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday and is now considered week-to-week, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. Purdy was ruled out for the Thursday night divisional clash against the Los Angeles Rams to start Week 5, and he could miss additional games beyond Thursday night. The 25-year-old suffered turf toe in the regular-season opener, which caused him to miss Weeks 2 and 3. He threw for over 300 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions in his return against Jacksonville, but now he's injured again and could miss more than one game. Backup Mac Jones will make his third start of the year on Thursday night in a bad matchup against L.A. without the team's top two wideouts in Jauan Jennings (ankle, ribs) and Ricky Pearsall (knee).
From RotoBaller
Los Angeles chargers WR Keenan Allen (non-injury) fully participated in practice Thursday, Oct. 2.
Fantasy Spin: Allen has been an important part of the passing game since returning to the Chargers and has been one of their top receivers over the first four games. He will see a good amount of targets again this week and can be a No. 2 receiver in fantasy leagues.
From TheHuddle
Los Angeles chargers OT Joe Alt (ankle) and WR Derius Davis (knee) did not participate in practice Thursday, Oct. 2. OG Mekhi Becton (concussion), TE Will Dissly (knee), TE Tucker Fisk (toe), S Derwin James (glute) and CB Tarheeb Still (ankle) were limited during practice. WR Keenan Allen (non-injury) and C Andre James (neck) fully participated in practice.
From TheHuddle
Tennessee Titans S Mike C. Brown (knee), OG Blake Hance (shoulder), OT JC Latham (hip), WR Bryce Oliver (knee) and WR Calvin Ridley (elbow, knee) did not participate in practice Thursday, Oct. 2. DE James Lynch (shoulder), RB Tyjae Spears (ankle), S Kevin Winston Jr. (hamstring) and OG Kevin Zeitler (foot) were limited during practice. RB Tony Pollard (non-injury) and DT Jeffery Simmons (non-injury) fully participated in practice.
From TheHuddle
Los Angeles Rams tight end Tyler Higbee (hip) has officially been ruled out for the Thursday night divisional matchup in Week 5 against the San Francisco 49ers, according to Adam Grosbard of the Los Angeles Daily News. Higbee was listed as doubtful coming into Thursday's game after missing practice on Tuesday and Wednesday. His next chance to return on game day will come in Week 6 on the road against the Baltimore Ravens. With Higbee out against San Francisco, the Rams could go with a committee approach at tight end with Colby Parkinson, Davis Allen, and rookie Terrance Ferguson. Fantasy managers who have been streaming TEs this year should probably look elsewhere in Week 5. Higbee hasn't been much of a streamer himself through four weeks, catching only six of 11 targets for 62 yards, with receivers Puka Nacua and Davante Adams getting the bulk of all the targets.
From RotoBaller
Los Angeles Rams Tyler Higbee (hip) has been declared inactive for the Week 5 game.
Fantasy Spin: Colby Parkinson should see a few targets in the passing game with Higbee sidelined but is not a starting option in fantasy leagues.
From TheHuddle
The Los Angeles Rams have declared OG Beaux Limmer, DL Desjuan Johnson, TE Tyler Higbee, OT Rob Havenstein and QB Stetson Bennett inactive for Week 5.
