Zach Ertz Oct 31 9:30am CT
    Zach Ertz

Washington Commanders tight end Zach Ertz has recorded 27 catches for 245 yards and four touchdowns on 40 targets across eight games so far this season. With Washington battling wide receiver injuries in recent weeks, Ertz has been targeted 19 times over his team's last three games. The Commanders briefly got healthy in their wide receiver room for Week 8, but star wideout Terry McLaurin (quad) re-injured his quad and will miss the team's Week 9 matchup against the Seattle Seahawks as a result. In addition to the reduced target competition, Ertz could get Commanders QB1 Jayden Daniels (hamstring) back from a hamstring injury that sidelined him in Week 8. All four of Ertz's touchdowns this season have come from Daniels. Ertz profiles as a low-end starting option at tight end for fantasy managers in Week 9.

John Metchie III Oct 31 9:20am CT
    John Metchie III

The New York Jets acquired wide receiver John Metchie III from the Philadelphia Eagles on Thursday. Metchie III was barely utilized in Philadelphia this season, recording four catches for 18 yards on seven targets across seven games. However, the 25-year-old should now be in a much better position to earn consistent playing time as a member of the Jets. New York could be getting star wideout Garrett Wilson (knee) back in Week 10 after the team's Week 9 bye, but Wilson is the only wide receiver who is clearly ahead of Metchie III on the Jets' wide receiver depth chart. A former second-round pick by the Houston Texans, Metchie III has hauled in 44 catches for 430 yards and a touchdown on 71 targets across 36 career NFL games. In deep fantasy leagues, he may be worth adding off the waiver wire as a low-risk dart throw.

TreVeyon Henderson Oct 31 9:10am CT
    TreVeyon Henderson

New England Patriots rookie running back TreVeyon Henderson had his most efficient game of the season in the team's Week 8 win over the Cleveland Browns, rushing for 75 yards on 10 carries, although he did lose a fumble near the goal line. It was an encouraging outing for Henderson as they used him on more outside runs and toss plays to get him in space, where he looked much more comfortable. And now with starter Rhamondre Stevenson (toe) banged up and missing both practices to open the week, it could open up a great opportunity for Henderson to see more snaps and handle his biggest workload of the season. His highest snap share in a game this season was 50% back in Week 5 against the Bills, where running back Antonio Gibson suffered a season-ending ACL injury. Since then, Henderson surprisingly hasn't had a snap share higher than 30% in any of the three games. The rookie out of Ohio State has earned praise from offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels this week, which hopefully signals more touches and better days ahead for Henderson. If Stevenson is ultimately ruled out, Henderson would rank as an RB2 with upside for Week 9 against the Falcons.

Puka Nacua Oct 31 9:00am CT
    Puka Nacua

Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua (ankle) said he feels "fantastic" and should be all ready to go for their Week 9 matchup against the New Orleans Saints, according to Sarah Barshop of ESPN. Nacua suffered a sprained ankle in their Week 6 win over the Ravens and missed the following week against the Jaguars, but had the Week 8 bye to fully recover. The star wide receiver was a limited participant in practice to open the week on Wednesday before being upgraded to a full participant on Thursday. Nacua was having an outstanding season before getting injured, recording the most catches by a player in the first five games in NFL history. Through six games, the 24-year-old has 54 catches on 65 targets for 616 yards and three total touchdowns, ranking as WR2 in PPR points per game. He is an elite WR1 for their Week 9 matchup against the Saints.

Rico Dowdle Oct 31 8:50am CT
    Rico Dowdle

Carolina Panthers running back Rico Dowdle is expected to be the team's featured back in Week 9 against the Packers following head coach Dave Canales' comments in his press interview on Monday. Dowdle has been impressive with his touches this season, handling 106 carries for 605 yards and two touchdowns while adding 13 catches (17 targets) for 121 yards and another touchdown as a receiver. Meanwhile, Chuba Hubbard has struggled after a breakout 2024 season that earned him a four-year contract extension, recording 79 carries for 282 yards with a touchdown and adding 15 catches (21 targets) for 118 yards with two touchdowns. The Panthers have made it clear that they don't plan on trading Hubbard, and while he'll still be involved, Dowdle has clearly earned more work and should be the preferred fantasy option moving forward. Dowdle is ranked as RotoBaller's RB18 for Week 9 against the Packers.

Aaron Jones Oct 31 8:40am CT
    Aaron Jones

Minnesota Vikings running back Aaron Jones Sr. made his return in Week 8 against the Chargers after being put on injured reserve with a hamstring injury earlier in the season. It was a relatively quiet first game back for Jones, handling five carries for 15 yards and catching two of his four targets for 15 yards. The Vikings' offense was stuck in the mud all night, and they should see better days moving forward. However, that is dependent on how second-year quarterback J.J. McCarthy (ankle) performs, as he is expected to return as the starter in Week 9 against the Lions. Jones had the most touches of the Vikings running backs in his return, with Jordan Mason recording only five and third-string back Zavier Scott mixing in for four. The 30-year-old dual-threat back should see his snaps and touches increase as he gets further removed from his injury, but will likely still see close to an even split with Mason moving forward.

Kyle Monangai Oct 31 8:20am CT
    Kyle Monangai

Chicago Bears running back Kyle Monangai has carved out a larger role in recent weeks, recording 28 touches to starter D'Andre Swift's 49 since the team's Week 5 bye. Monangai played 29 snaps in their Week 8 loss at Baltimore, just two fewer than Swift's 31, which also marked Swift's lowest total of the season so far. Now, Swift has missed the first two practices to open the week with a groin injury that he's been battling for a few weeks, putting his status for their Week 9 matchup in Cincinnati. Monangai would be in line to handle the bulk of the touches if Swift were unable to go. It'd be a dream spot for the rookie out of Rutgers to make his first career start as the Bengals have allowed the most PPR points per game to opposing running backs this season. Monangai remains a must-roster player with plug-and-play potential if Swift were to miss any time.

Charlie Kolar Oct 31 12:10am CT
    Charlie Kolar

Baltimore Ravens tight end Charlie Kolar caught two passes for 23 yards and a touchdown during Thursday's Week 9 victory over the Miami Dolphins. The 26-year-old has now scored in back-to-back games, earning himself a larger role alongside established tight ends Mark Andrews and Isaiah Likely. While Kolar is clearly third on the depth chart, he should continue to handle more opportunities in the passing game, especially if he continues to score touchdowns. His snap share has already started to increase, as he played 46.4 percent of the offensive snaps Thursday. He was on the field for just two fewer plays than Andrews and five fewer plays than Likely, which isn't exactly a very sizable margin. Kolar isn't a fantasy threat, but he'll continue to be a thorn in the side of Andrews' and Likely's fantasy managers.

Roquan Smith Oct 31 12:03am CT
    Roquan Smith

Baltimore Ravens LB Roquan Smith recorded a team-high 12 tackles (nine solo) in a Week 9 win over the Miami Dolphins.

Jaylen Waddle Oct 31 12:00am CT
    Jaylen Waddle

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Jaylen Waddle caught six of his nine targets for 82 yards during Thursday's Week 9 loss against the Baltimore Ravens. Waddle has quietly been quite productive despite Miami's overall offensive struggles this year. In the five games since Tyreek Hill was placed on injured reserve, he is averaging 4.8 catches, 80.2 receiving yards, and 0.4 touchdowns. He ranks as the overall WR7 in PPR leagues so far, albeit with at least one more game played than most of his fellow receivers. On a points per game basis, he ranks 23rd. Managers should continue to trust Waddle as a solid WR2 option heading into a potentially negative game script scenario against the Buffalo Bills.

Mark Andrews Oct 30 11:53pm CT
    Mark Andrews

Baltimore Ravens TE Mark Andrews had two receptions, 22 yards, and two touchdowns in a Week 9 win over the Miami Dolphins.

Fantasy Spin: Yardage wise, 2025 continues to be a bust for Andrews, who has only topped 35 yards in a game once this season. He did log his second two-touchdown effort of the season, though, generating some hope that maybe the veteran has another midseason renaissance in him. Despite his shaky performance to date, Andrews continues to dwell on the outskirts of TE1 territory given his recent history of strong finishes. If you can add him off waivers or acquire him cheaply in a trade, it's a gamble that could pay off.

Derrick Henry Oct 30 11:50pm CT
    Derrick Henry

Baltimore Ravens running back Derrick Henry rushed for 119 yards on 19 carries during Thursday's Week 9 win over the Miami Dolphins. He also converted his lone target into a two-yard reception. Henry had a relatively underwhelming four-week stretch earlier in the season, but he has suddenly bounced back with three terrific showings. Over his last three contests, he has totaled 64 carries, 312 rushing yards, and two touchdowns, as well as a pair of receptions. He's firmly back in RB1 territory ahead of a favorable Week 10 matchup against the Minnesota Vikings.

DeAndre Hopkins Oct 30 11:43pm CT
    DeAndre Hopkins

Baltimore Ravens WR DeAndre Hopkins was targeted once but did not have a reception versus the Miami Dolphins in Week 9.

    From TheHuddle

Mark Andrews Oct 30 11:40pm CT
    Mark Andrews

Baltimore Ravens tight end Mark Andrews caught two of his three targets for 22 yards and two touchdowns during Thursday's Week 9 win over the Miami Dolphins. The veteran tight end had relatively low involvement in the victory, but he was highly efficient in terms of scoring, converting both of his grabs into touchdowns. The 30-year-old now has 26 catches, 230 yards, and four touchdowns this season, which is a relatively underwhelming line through eight games. With that said, Andrews has scored four touchdowns through five games with Lamar Jackson under center, so perhaps the quarterback's return from a hamstring injury will give him a significant boost going forward. He ranks as a mid-range TE2 for Week 10 against the Minnesota Vikings.

    From RotoBaller

Devon Achane Oct 30 11:40pm CT
    Devon Achane

Miami Dolphins running back De'Von Achane rushed for 67 yards on 14 carries during Thursday's Week 9 loss to the Baltimore Ravens. He also caught six of his 10 targets for an additional 39 receiving yards. While the speedy running back was held without a touchdown for the second time in the last three weeks, his heavy receiving workload salvaged his fantasy performance, especially in full-PPR and half-PPR formats. Achane ultimately led the Dolphins in targets on Thursday and finished second on the team in receptions, trailing Jaylen Waddle. Although his upside has been slightly capped by Miami's poor offensive output this season, his floor has remained one of the highest in the league. He has scored at least 12 fantasy points (full-PPR) in every game this year, ranking as the overall RB3 so far. A rare matchup-proof running back, Achane has shown that he belongs in lineups regardless of what Miami's offensive forecast looks like. He should be treated as a mid-to-high RB1 for Week 10 against the Bills.

Lamar Jackson Oct 30 11:20pm CT
    Lamar Jackson

Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson completed 18 of his 23 pass attempts for 204 yards, four touchdowns, and zero interceptions during Thursday's Week 9 win over the Miami Dolphins. He also rushed for 14 yards. Jackson returned from a multi-week absence caused by a hamstring injury, and he picked up right where he left off. The star quarterback didn't rush as much as he usually does, but he continued to demonstrate impressive accuracy while turning in his second four-touchdown game of the season. Jackson now has 15 touchdowns and just two turnovers through five games. He remains a high-end QB1 heading into next week's clash with the Minnesota Vikings.

Derrick Henry Oct 30 10:53pm CT
    Derrick Henry

Baltimore Ravens RB Derrick Henry carried the ball 19 times for 119 yards versus the Miami Dolphins in Week 9. Henry also had a two-yard reception.

Fantasy Spin: For the third time this season, Henry eclipsed the 100-yard mark, doing it on just 19 carries. The numbers are a bit deceiving as he did a lot of damage late when the Dolphins didn't seem all that interested in tackling the veteran with the game out of reach. It all counts for fantasy owners, though, and it was absolutely a step in the right direction after Henry averaged just 38 rushing yards per game in Lamar Jackson's three most recent outings before his injury. While he's not pushing for top three status at the position, Henry is still a solid RB1.

Lamar Jackson Oct 30 10:33pm CT
    Lamar Jackson

Baltimore Ravens QB Lamar Jackson completed 18 of 23 passes for 204 yards, four touchdowns, and no interceptions in a Week 9 win over the Miami Dolphins. He also ran five times for 14 yards.

Fantasy Spin: While it wasn't always smooth, particularly in the first half when the Ravens had four three-and-outs, Jackson put together two TD drives after halftime to drop Miami in a 28-6 hole, which is where the final score ended up. Jackson didn't seem eager to run on Thursday night, though that could just have been a byproduct of working with a lead for most of the night. He'll get an additional 10 days to get his hamstring closer to 100% before facing the Vikings next Sunday. Jackson remains a high-end QB1.

Rasul Douglas Oct 30 10:13pm CT
    Rasul Douglas

Miami Dolphins CB Rasul Douglas (toe) exited the Week 9 game against the Baltimore Ravens with a toe injury and is questionable to return.

    From TheHuddle

Ollie Gordon II Oct 30 9:00pm CT
    Ollie Gordon II

Miami Dolphins rookie running back Ollie Gordon II (ankle) suffered an ankle injury in the first half of the Thursday night game against the Baltimore Ravens and is questionable to return, according to Marcel Louis-Jacques of ESPN. Before leaving the contest to be checked out in the blue medical tent on the sideline, Gordon had only two carries for six yards and caught his lone target for a three-yard pickup. Jaylen Wright was a healthy scratch for this contest, so the Dolphins won't have anyone to back up starter De'Von Achane if Gordon is unable to return in the second half. And if Gordon's injury keeps him out beyond Week 9 -- they don't play again until Sunday, Nov. 9, against the division-rival Buffalo Bills - Wright would move up into the No. 2 role behind Achane in Miami's backfield.
