We will try to have even divisions based on past performance and breaking managers into tiers of 3. This will allow each division to have one manager from all 4 tiers.
Method: Each Championship = 5 pts, Runner-Up = 3, Third place = 2 pts, Other playoff teams get 1 pt.
We then add up the points and divide by the number of seasons.
In the case of a tie, playoff % is the tiebreaker. e.g Harry/Perry in the playoffs 3 out of 4 seasons = 75%. Jeff has the same amount of pts/season, but only made the playoffs 2 of 4 seasons, so 50%.
Both are in the same tier, so it doesn't really matter.
In the case of Chris and Carter who shared a team, but are now going separately, I'm giving Chris the edge for his experience and being a past Champion in our Shell league.
John Shenkir is new, so he ends up in the last tier as a default. We'll call him the "Life is a box of chocolates" team. You just don't know what you're getting here when he ends up in your division.
As far as choosing teams for the divisions, there are 2 options.
1) Let the owners in the top tier chooses divisions based on tiers or three. It's like how we do it in Shell, but in Best Ballers, we break up by tiers. John would have the top choice in tier 2. Followed by Andrew and then me. Then we snake it with tier 3 and then tier 4.
2) I randomly draw them.
