Why am I playing Bronx Bambinos 3 times in 9 tries. Why is the schedule not on a serpentine grid?

"For each head-to-head matchup, the team with the greater number of points at the end of the week will earn a Win and the team with the lesser number will earn a Loss. In the event of tie, the team with the higher tiebreaker total will earn the win. The game tiebreaker is computed with the weekly stat totals as follows:
(RBI + Runs)/2 - Pitching Runs Allowed. In the event that a tie remains, the win will be awarded to the team with the highest cumulative batting average for the week. League and division standings are based on team win/loss records."
Amazingly, my team and Joe's Garage ended in a tie (225.5 points each). For some reason, his team was awarded a victory for the week and mine a loss. I read the rules backwards and forwards and it does not mention any tie breakers for a weekly tie. Does anyone have any idea why this was the verdict?
