Murray has a favorable schedule

Using our rules for our money leagues, we came up with a schedule strength ranking for the quarterback position. We are using our fantasy defenses report to calculate the rankings. This report can be found in all of our leagues under the "reports" heading. We took the schedule of each team and entered the average number of fantasy points allowed to quarterbacks last season from all of their opponents to get our fantasy points allowed number. This is a good indication of the quarterbacks with the most favorable schedules for fantasy scoring for the coming season. Defenses obviously change from year to year, but knowing the quarterbacks that might have the easiest schedule for fantasy is always a good idea when formulating your rankings and draft strategy.

32. Arizona 358.17

The Arizona Cardinals have the easiest fantasy schedule for quarterbacks. Kyler Murray had a solid season last year but could be even better this year, being another year removed from his major knee injury and having the most favorable fantasy schedule. The Cardinals passing game could have a lot of success this season, especially if Marvin Harrison Jr. takes his game to a new level.

C.J. Stroud is an intriguing option because of his favorable schedule. Stroud gets the second-easiest fantasy schedule for quarterbacks. He had a disappointing season last year but had all sorts of injuries at receiver, which impacted him. He gets most of those guys back this year and also adds two talented rookie receivers to the mix. This makes Stroud a good buy-low candidate for fantasy teams.

The Titans, Panthers and Jaguars round out the top five easiest fantasy quarterback list. This is good news for rookie Cam Ward. He could make an immediate fantasy impact because of an easy schedule. He still could be up and down as a rookie with a team that lacks some weapons, but Ward also could have some big games along the way.

Bryce Young had a great finish to last year, so you have to be thrilled to see him get a favorable fantasy scheduled. He could build on that finish and continue his solid play this season, especially if you consider the Panthers did well to get him more talent to work with offensively.

Lastly, Trevor Lawrence hasn’t lived up to expectations but this could be the season this year. He gets a great schedule, a new quarterback-friendly head coach and some more weapons to work with in the passing game. If Lawrence is going to have that breakout season, this is the year.

The Cowboys top the list for most difficult quarterback schedule. This isn’t likely to deter them from throwing but you have to worry a little about the ceiling of Dak Prescott. He could struggle some weeks against some really good passing defenses.

Russell Wilson heads to the Giants this year to take over as their starter. He heads to an offense that has struggled at quarterback in recent seasons and gets a very difficult schedule to boot. Wilson faces the second most difficult fantasy schedule for quarterbacks. A big first season in New York doesn’t seem likely for Wilson.

The Lions, Vikings and Bengals round out the list of toughest schedules for quarterbacks. The one that stands out is Minnesota because they are going to have a first-year starter in J.J. McCarthy. He has some real upside in an offense that likes to throw the ball and has maybe the best receiver in the game, but this schedule could temper his expectations a little.

And we have a hard time betting against Jared Goff and Joe Burrow because of a challenging fantasy schedule. These passing offenses are tough to slow down no matter the opponent.

We also wanted to look at playoff schedules for fantasy quarterbacks. So we crunched the numbers of all the schedules from Week 15-17, which is the fantasy playoffs for most leagues. We know you have to get to the playoffs first, but knowing the quarterbacks with the easiest playoff schedules doesn’t hurt by any means, especially in the big-money contests.

  QB PLAYOFF SOS
1. Dallas 300.55
2. Cleveland 303.77
3. New York Giants 308.43
4. Buffalo 313.05
5. Philadelphia 314.27
6. Green Bay 324.72
7. Pittsburgh 326.15
8. Chicago 327.72
9. Cincinnati 327.82
10. Detroit 328.27
11. San Francisco 329.53
12. Kansas City 330.52
13. Baltimore 334.67

24. Miami 354.32
25. Tampa Bay 354.83
26. New Orleans 355.13
27. Denver 357.28
28. Atlanta 364.7
29. Minnesota 372.5
30. Los Angeles Chargers 373.05
31. Arizona 376.65
32. Seattle 377.82

Arizona is the lone team that finishes in the top five for both the regular and postseason for easiest schedule. Kyler Murray and Marvin Harrison Jr. could be a good stack for those of you in those big-money contests. Very intriguing.

The Seahawks actually have the easiest fantasy playoff schedule. Sam Darnold has some question marks after his finish to last year but might be worth the risk because of this schedule. If he can get it going again, he could be a help down the stretch.

And it is interesting to see the Vikings have the fourth easiest playoff schedule. They made the top-five toughest schedule list for their overall schedule. But things get easier for McCarthy in the fantasy playoffs. He could be a factor down the stretch.

So the Cowboys have both the hardest overall and playoff schedule for quarterbacks. Ouch. Dak Prescott is looking like a scary pick for fantasy owners. Buyer beware.

The Giants are another team that made both lists, giving you even more hesitation when it comes to taking a chance on Wilson in his first season with the team. He probably isn’t worth the risk.

There are two really big names that made the top five most difficult playoff schedule. Both Josh Allen and Jalen Hurts have challenging playoff schedules. It is something to keep in mind when deciding between them and other elite options like Lamar Jackson, Jayden Daniels and Joe Burrow.

Starts, Sits, Sleepers: Week 13

Player Notes
Trevon Diggs Nov 28 12:50pm ET
Trevon Diggs

Dallas Cowboys cornerback Trevon Diggs (concussion, knee) is expected to return in Week 14 to face the Detroit Lions, according to The Athletic's Jon Machota. Owner Jerry Jones said on 105.3 The Fan on Friday that Diggs "will be on the field in Detroit (next Thursday), in my view, (barring a setback)." The 27-year-old defensive back has not played since Week 6 due to a concussion and a knee injury, but he should be back on the field next week at Ford Field. It will be a much-needed addition to Dallas' secondary after DaRon Bland injured his foot in the Thanksgiving Day win over the Kansas City Chiefs on Thursday. Diggs, a two-time Pro Bowler and former All-Pro, has 18 tackles (13 solo) in his six games played in 2025. Since his 11-interception season in 2021, Diggs has had only six picks in the last three-plus years.

Josh Palmer Nov 28 12:40pm ET
Josh Palmer

Buffalo Bills head coach Sean McDermott said that wide receiver Joshua Palmer (ankle) will be limited in practice on Friday and will be listed as questionable to play in the Week 13 contest on Sunday against the hosting Pittsburgh Steelers, according to The Buffalo News' Katherine Fitzgerald. Palmer missed Wednesday's practice but will close out the week with two limited sessions, leaving hope that he will be active this weekend. Curtis Samuel has already been ruled out for Buffalo, but even if Palmer is active on Sunday, which is likely, fantasy managers should have better flex options to choose from. The 26-year-old has yet to score a touchdown in 2025 in his first year in Buffalo, and he just has not seen enough volume to warrant a roster spot in most leagues. With Keon Coleman being a healthy scratch the last two games, Palmer has had just four catches on nine targets for 38 yards.

Curtis Samuel Nov 28 12:30pm ET
Curtis Samuel

Buffalo Bills head coach Sean McDermott said that wide receiver Curtis Samuel (elbow, knee) will not play on Sunday in Week 13 against the Pittsburgh Steelers, according to Maddy Glab of BuffaloBills.com. Samuel will miss a second straight game, and it's unclear if the 29-year-old will be able to return for a Week 14 contest against the Cincinnati Bengals. Samuel has not been on the fantasy radar at all in 2025, as he's caught only seven passes on nine targets for 81 yards and one touchdown on the year. He was unable to take advantage of second-year wideout Keon Coleman being benched for the last two games for disciplinary reasons. Samuel was off the fantasy radar in most leagues last year as well in Buffalo, as he had a weak 31-253-1 line in 14 regular-season games.

Dalton Kincaid Nov 28 12:30pm ET
Dalton Kincaid

Buffalo Bills head coach Sean McDermott said that tight end Dalton Kincaid (hamstring) will be limited in practice on Friday and will be questionable to play on Sunday against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 13, according to Katherine Fitzgerald of The Buffalo News. Kincaid, who last played in Week 10, did not practice on Wednesday, but he'll close out the week with two limited practices. The 26-year-old could be a game-time decision this weekend, which will make things a bit more difficult for fantasy managers trying to make lineup decisions, as the Bills and Steelers play in the later window on Sunday. Kincaid should be a top target for quarterback Josh Allen if he's active. If Kincaid misses a third straight game, Dawson Knox will have a bigger role again. Knox hasn't done much with Kincaid out the last two games, though, catching only four passes for 40 yards and no touchdowns on seven targets.

Darren Waller Nov 28 12:20pm ET
Darren Waller

Miami Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel reports that tight end Darren Waller (pectoral) could return for Sunday's home clash with the New Orleans Saints. The veteran had his 21-day practice window opened earlier this week, suggesting that he's close to a return. Per McDaniel, he's optimistic about Waller's status for Week 13's game against the visiting Saints, though it's "all dependent on today's [Friday] practice." Barring any setbacks, it appears that the 33-year-old is trending toward being available. While it wouldn't be surprising to see Miami play it slow with his snap count following the layoff, fantasy managers will find it difficult to sit him if active, considering his touchdown upside.

From RotoBaller

Baker Mayfield Nov 28 12:20pm ET
Baker Mayfield

Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield (shoulder) was seen practicing on Friday, according to Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times. Mayfield is dealing with a low-grade AC joint sprain to his left (non-throwing) shoulder. He did not practice on Wednesday but upgraded to a limited practice on Thursday. The 30-year-old will likely be listed as questionable for Week 13 against the visiting Arizona Cardinals if he's limited again on Friday, and his status for Sunday's contest could be a game-time decision. It makes Mayfield a pretty risky starting QB option in fantasy football this weekend, even in a good matchup. If Mayfield is not cleared to play against the Cardinals, veteran Teddy Bridgewater would make his first start of the 2025 season. Bridgewater would be a low-end QB2 streaming option for fantasy managers in superflex leagues.

Robbie Chosen Nov 28 12:10pm ET
Robbie Chosen

The Washington Commanders released wide receiver Robbie Chosen on Friday, according to Nicki Jhabvala of The Washington Post. The Commanders added Chosen to their practice squad in mid-November due to injuries to Terry McLaurin (quadriceps) and Treylon Burks (finger). McLaurin is set to return in Week 13 to face the Denver Broncos on Sunday night, though, and Noah Brown (groin, knee) could also be back from Injured Reserve this weekend, so the Commanders don't have the need for Chosen as WR depth anymore. The 32-year-old veteran appeared in only three games with Washington and caught five of his nine targets for 53 yards and no touchdowns. He will now go back onto the open market as he seeks to latch on with another team as WR depth for the rest of the 2025 season.

Trey Benson Nov 28 12:00pm ET
Trey Benson

According to head coach Jonathan Gannon, Arizona Cardinals running back Trey Benson (knee) will miss Sunday's outing with the hosting Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Florida State alum returned to practice last week and worked in a limited capacity as he battles back from a lengthy absence due to a knee injury. Benson would start this week the same; however, he'd be downgraded to a DNP on Thursday, and will now miss his eighth consecutive contest. For what it's worth, Gannon noted that the 23-year-old won't be shut down long-term. With Emari Demercado (ankle) and Bam Knight (knee) also dealing with their own respective injuries, it could be Michael Carter and Jermar Jefferson manning the backfield against the Buccaneers. Jefferson has been active just once for the team and has yet to receive a touch in 2025.

From RotoBaller

Greg Dortch Nov 28 11:50am ET
Greg Dortch

Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Greg Dortch could be in for a downtick in production this Sunday if teammate Marvin Harrison Jr. (appendix) returns to action. Dortch has been solid over Arizona's previous two contests, racking up six catches and a touchdown in each, with Harrison Jr. sidelined due to an appendectomy. For as serviceable as the former's been, his workload is set to taper off significantly upon Harrison Jr.'s return. Despite Arizona airing it out at a pace of 50 pass attempts per game over their last three, the presence of an emerging Michael Wilson and superstar tight end Trey McBride will make it too tricky for quarterback Jacoby Brissett to support four fantasy-worthy options. If Harrison Jr. sits another week, Dortch would be a nice PPR play against the hosting Buccaneers.

From RotoBaller

Keon Coleman Nov 28 11:40am ET
Keon Coleman

After being a healthy scratch for the team's previous two contests, it's fair for fantasy managers to wonder if the Buffalo Bills have soured on wide receiver Keon Coleman. Coleman began the season with a bang, sporting an 8/112/1 line after the campaign's first week. Since then, though, he'd eclipsed three catches and 45 yards in a game just once, and has yet to suit up since being late for a team meeting ahead of their Week 11 win over the Buccaneers. Per head coach Sean McDermott, the 22-year-old's benching the following week was not disciplinary. Either way, it's tough for owners to trust Coleman, as his lack of consistent production makes him too volatile a fantasy asset. He can be dropped in shallow formats if he was not already.

From RotoBaller

Tom Kennedy Nov 28 11:40am ET
Tom Kennedy

Detroit Lions wide receiver Tom Kennedy played an unlikely role in his team's offense in Week 13 against the Green Bay Packers, hauling in four catches for 36 yards on four targets. The 29-year-old has spent most of the 2025 season on the Lions' practice squad, but he was signed to the active roster heading into Week 13 with wide receiver Kalif Raymond (ankle) sidelined by an ankle injury. Raymond's return timeline is unclear, and the Lions also lost wideout Amon-Ra St. Brown (ankle) to injury in Week 13. That could force Kennedy into a meaningful role in Detroit alongside wide receivers Jameson Williams and Isaac TeSlaa, at least in the short term. Kennedy has appeared in 25 career NFL games across five different seasons, all with Detroit. He's recorded 18 catches for 231 yards on 30 targets. In the very deepest of fantasy leagues, Kennedy could be worth a look on the waiver wire heading into the Lions' Week 14 matchup against the Dallas Cowboys.

From RotoBaller

David Montgomery Nov 28 11:30am ET
David Montgomery

Detroit Lions running back David Montgomery broke his three-game touchdown-less streak in Week 13 against the Green Bay Packers, recording 48 scrimmage yards and a score on 10 touches. While finding the end zone is obviously a positive for Montgomery, his overall workload trends continue to be worrying for fantasy managers. The 28-year-old has now played 39% or fewer of his team's offensive snaps in four out of Detroit's last five games. If there's one positive for Montgomery going forward, the Lions will be getting former All-Pro center Frank Ragnow back from retirement in the coming weeks, which should greatly improve the struggling interior of their offensive line. Still, Montgomery appears entirely dependent on touchdowns for fantasy production, which will be difficult to predict every week. He faces a rapidly improving Dallas Cowboys defense in Week 14.

From RotoBaller

Tank Bigsby Nov 28 11:20am ET
Tank Bigsby

Philadelphia Eagles running back Tank Bigsby won't be worthy of a fantasy start in Week 13's meeting with the visiting Chicago Bears. The third-year pro was traded to Philadelphia at the beginning of the season to play second fiddle in the team's backfield behind teammate Saquon Barkley. However, since taking over the job from A.J. Dillon, Bigsby has racked up just 18 carries and 164 yards for Philadelphia -- all of which have come since Week 8. As it stands, fantasy managers can safely avoid the Auburn product in all leagues sans deep dynasty formats, as the path to him finding fantasy relevance outside of an injury to the player ahead of him on the depth chart is narrow.

From RotoBaller

Jahmyr Gibbs Nov 28 11:20am ET
Jahmyr Gibbs

Detroit Lions running back Jahmyr Gibbs did not have his most efficient day in his team's 31-24 Week 13 loss to the Green Bay Packers, recording 86 scrimmage yards and failing to find the end zone on 23 touches. However, Gibbs has now averaged 24.5 touches per game over the last two weeks. With Detroit likely to be without both wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown (ankle) and tight end Sam LaPorta (back) for Week 14 against the Dallas Cowboys and possibly longer, the Lions seem likely to continue force-feeding Gibbs the ball. Across 12 games this season, the 23-year-old has recorded 1,416 scrimmage yards and 13 touchdowns on 226 touches and now profiles as by far the most reliable weapon on his team's offense. As long as Gibbs can stay healthy, he profiles as a must-start fantasy running back.

From RotoBaller

Jordan Mason Nov 28 11:10am ET
Jordan Mason

Minnesota Vikings running back Jordan Mason has provided solid production at times throughout the 2025 season, recording 531 rushing yards and five touchdowns on 116 carries across 11 games. However, since fellow Vikings back Aaron Jones Sr. returned from the hamstring injury that forced him to miss Weeks 3-7 in Week 8, Mason has seen his playing time decline sharply. Over Minnesota's last three games in particular, Mason has failed to play more than 27% of the Vikings' offensive snaps in any game. He's recorded just 18 carries and one reception (one target) over those three weeks as well. With Jones Sr. emerging as the team's feature back and the Vikings' offense struggling amidst uncertainty at the quarterback position, Mason's production figures to continue trending downwards. He should be avoided by fantasy managers in a difficult Week 14 matchup against the Seattle Seahawks.

From RotoBaller

Jared Goff Nov 28 11:10am ET
Jared Goff

Once star Detroit Lions wideout Amon-Ra St. Brown (ankle) went down with an ankle injury in the first quarter of Detroit's Week 13 matchup against the Green Bay Packers, Lions quarterback Jared Goff looked like he might be heading towards a disastrous day. However, the 31-year-old bounced back nicely in a tough matchup, completing 20 of 26 pass attempts for 256 yards, two touchdowns, and zero interceptions. With the Lions offense down multiple starters on the offensive line and now without its top two pass-catchers in St. Brown and tight end Sam LaPorta (back), Goff will have to shoulder more of the playmaking workload in Detroit. Goff has typically struggled in that role throughout his career, but his performance against Green Bay could be considered a positive sign that he can keep the Lions' offense afloat through its injury woes. In Week 14, Goff will face a Dallas Cowboys defense that looks much more formidable after its trade deadline additions.

From RotoBaller

Amon-Ra St. Brown Nov 28 10:50am ET
Amon-Ra St. Brown

The ankle injury that forced Detroit Lions wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown (ankle) to exit his team's Thanksgiving Day loss to the Green Bay Packers in the first quarter is not expected to land him on Injured Reserve, according to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network. Pelissero reports that St. Brown "likely will be week-to-week" going forward. While it sounds like the 26-year-old will return this season, he appears unlikely to play in Detroit's crucial Week 14 matchup against the Dallas Cowboys next Thursday night. St. Brown entered Week 13 with 75 receptions for 884 yards and nine touchdowns on 107 targets, so his absence is a massive blow for both the Lions and fantasy managers alike. With St. Brown sidelined in Week 13, Detroit wideout Jameson Williams recorded seven catches for 144 yards and a touchdown on 10 targets. Rookie wide receiver Isaac TeSlaa recorded a touchdown catch as well, and longtime Lions' practice squad wideout Tom Kennedy hauled in his first four catches of the season. With tight end Sam LaPorta (back) on Injured Reserve, and tight end Brock Wright (neck) and wide receiver Kalif Raymond both questionable for Week 14 after being out against Green Bay, there's ample opportunity for pass-catchers to step up in Detroit behind Williams.

From RotoBaller

Isaiah Davis Nov 28 10:50am ET
Isaiah Davis

Once New York Jets running back Braelon Allen (knee) landed on Injured Reserve after suffering an MCL sprain in Week 4, fellow Jets back Isaiah Davis stepped into the RB2 role in New York behind Breece Hall. However, despite the increased opportunity, Davis has failed to steal much work away from Hall. Across seven games since Allen went down, Davis has recorded 204 scrimmage yards on 33 touches. His 4.7 touches per game over that stretch pales in comparison to Hall, who has averaged 18.7 touches per contest. Even with Allen's status for the remainder of 2025 unclear, Davis appears unlikely to provide fantasy-relevant production as long as Hall stays healthy. Davis should remain off the radar of fantasy managers heading into the Jets' Week 14 matchup against the Atlanta Falcons.

From RotoBaller

Rachaad White Nov 28 10:40am ET
Rachaad White

Across seven games since Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Bucky Irving (shoulder, foot) went down with shoulder and foot injuries, Bucs running back Rachaad White has averaged 16 touches and 60 scrimmage yards per game. However, White has lost out on backfield snaps to fellow Tampa Bay running back Sean Tucker in recent weeks. Over his last two games, White has recorded just 20 touches, compared to 34 for Tucker. With Irving practicing this week and possibly slated to return to the field in Week 13 against the Arizona Cardinals, White's opportunity for production may be about to fall off a cliff. At best, he seems likely to be part of a three-way backfield committee in Tampa Bay. If Irving does indeed return, White should be avoided by fantasy managers in Week 13 against Arizona.

From RotoBaller

Bhayshul Tuten Nov 28 10:20am ET
Bhayshul Tuten

Across 11 games this season, Jacksonville Jaguars rookie running back Bhayshul Tuten has recorded 316 scrimmage yards and four touchdowns on 75 total touches. The 23-year-old has spent the majority of the season playing the RB2 role in Jacksonville behind veteran back Travis Etienne Jr. Two weeks ago, Tuten recorded 15 carries for 74 yards and a touchdown against the Los Angeles Chargers, looking like a real threat to Etienne Jr. However, Tuten was forced to leave the game against the Chargers with an ankle injury. In Week 12, Etienne Jr. dominated the backfield workload and put up huge numbers against the Arizona Cardinals. Heading into the team's Week 13 matchup against the Tennessee Titans, there's little reason for fantasy managers to expect the Jaguars to go away from Etienne Jr. Tuten profiles as a low-end flex option at best in Week 13.
