Dowdle runs wild in Week 5
Well, that was certainly an interesting week of football. There weren’t a ton of big fantasy scores but certainly some intriguing outcomes. This was a week of upsets with the Broncos and Patriots pulling off two of the biggest. You just never know what you are going to see from week to week, which is what makes this game so great to watch.
49ers 26, Rams 23
Fantasy Stud: Matthew Stafford. Stafford had a huge game against a 49ers secondary that had played well this year. He was 30-of-47 for 389 yards and three touchdowns without an interception. Stafford scored 30.45 fantasy points, giving him two straight games with 30-plus points. His back injury was a concern to start the year but hasn’t seemed to bother him at all. He is having another big season
Fantasy Dud: Demarcus Robinson. Robinson got some starts with the 49ers all banged up at receiver, but he was not a help to any fantasy teams that used him. He had three receptions for 39 yards. Robinson got some looks but showed he is going to be a risk to use for fantasy teams - even in an expanded role.
Game Notes: Kendrick Bourne had 10 receptions for 142 yards. He had a huge game, serving as the top target in the 49ers passing game.
Puka Nacua finished with 10 receptions for 85 yards. Nacua has double-digit receptions three straight and four of five games.
Vikings 21, Browns 17
Fantasy Stud: David Njoku. Njoku led the way in the passing game for the Browns. He had six receptions for 67 yards and a touchdown. These were his best numbers of the season across the board, finishing with 18.7 fantasy points. He was targeted a season-best nine times, giving him at least five targets four of five games. Njoku remains a big part of this passing game, even with the emergence of rookie tight end Harold Fannin
Fantasy Dud: Jerry Jeudy. Jeudy continues to do very little, catching just two passes for 15 yards. You hoped things might have changed for him with a new starting quarterback this week, but that wasn’t the case. Jeudy has not had double-digit fantasy points since Week 1 of the season. He has less than 50 yards three straight games.
Game Notes: Quinshon Judkins had his first 100-yard game as a pro. He ran 23 times for 110 yards. Judkins has double-digit fantasy points all four games he has played.
Dillon Gabriel played alright in his first NFL start. He was 19-of-33 for 190 yards and two touchdowns without a turnover.
Texans 44, Ravens 10
Fantasy Stud: C.J. Stroud. Stroud had another big game, going 23-of-27 for 244 yards and four touchdowns without a turnover. He also ran once for 30 yards. Stroud scored a season-best 31.2 fantasy points. He has 20-plus fantasy points two straight games
Fantasy Dud: Derrick Henry. Henry scored a touchdown but still managed to finish with fewer than 10 fantasy points. He ran 15 times for just 33 yards and a score. He has fewer than double-digit fantasy points two straight and three of four games. He has 50 or fewer rushing yards four straight games. Henry is not having near the season fantasy owners hoped.
Game Notes: Cooper Rush had a rough first start with the Ravens. He was 14-of-20 for 179 yards with three interceptions. He failed to score a touchdown.
Xavier Hutchinson had three receptions for 18 yards and two touchdowns. He scored his first touchdown in the NFL.
Colts 40, Raiders 6
Fantasy Stud: Jonathan Taylor. Taylor continued his huge season, rushing 17 times for 66 yards and three touchdowns. He had three receptions for 20 yards. Taylor has three touchdowns in two of his last three games. He has seven total scores for the season. Taylor has 12-plus fantasy points every game
Fantasy Dud: Jakobi Meyers. You thought Meyers might have a big game with a lot of injuries at tight end for the Raiders. But that wasn’t the case, catching four passes for 32 yards. Meyers has three straight games with fewer than double-digit fantasy points. He just hasn’t gotten on the same page with his new quarterback, Geno Smith, this season.
Game Notes: Daniel Jones was 20-of-29 for 212 yards and two touchdowns without a turnover. Jones has touchdowns every game this season, totaling nine total touchdowns.
Ashton Jeanty topped 100 total yards. He ran 14 times for 67 yards and caught five passes for 42 yards. He had 109 total yards in the game.
Saints 26, Giants 14
Fantasy Stud: Rashid Shaheed. Shaheed had four receptions for 114 yards and a touchdown. It was his first 100-yard game of the season. Shaheed has at least four receptions every game this season. He has two games with 15-plus fantasy points
Fantasy Dud: Darius Slayton. There was hope Slayton might produce big in an expanded role but he had a rough game, catching three passes for 31 yards. He also lost a fumble. He scored just 5.1 fantasy points, his lowest total since Week 1. Slayton showed he is a tough fantasy player to trust.
Game Notes: Taysom Hill made his season debut for the Saints. He ran six times for a negative yard. He didn’t catch a pass but was 1-of-1 throwing the ball for 19 yards.
Kendre Miller led the Saints in rushing. He had 10 carries for 41 yards while Alvin Kamara ran eight times for just 27 yards.
Panthers 27, Dolphins 24
Fantasy Stud: Rico Dowdle. Dowdle got the start because of injury and responded with the best game of his career. He ran 23 times for 206 yards and a touchdown. Dowdle had three receptions for 28 yards, giving him 234 total yards. Dowdle proved that as long as Chuba Hubbard is sidelined, he might be a must-start for fantasy teams. This was quite the performance
Fantasy Dud: Tommy Tremble. Tremble looked great last week in a starting role, so he got some play this week. Unfortunately, that did not turn out well for fantasy owners. He caught just a pass for seven yards. It was a disappointing showing in what might be his last chance to start this season with Ja’Tavion Sanders back soon.
Game Notes: Darren Waller had five receptions for 78 yards and a touchdown. Waller has touchdowns each of his first two games this season.
Jaylen hit the 100-yard mark for the first time this year. He had six receptions for 110 yards and a touchdown.
Cowboys 37, Jets 22
Fantasy Stud: Javonte Williams. Williams continued his great play. He rushed 16 times for 132 yards and a touchdown. William also caught a pass for a four-yard touchdown. Williams scored a season-high 26.6 fantasy points. He has three games with 20-plus fantasy points
Fantasy Dud: Jalen Tolbert. Tolbert was targeted just once and didn’t catch a pass. It was a really disappointing showing after getting 10.1 fantasy points the previous game. He had multiple receptions three straight games before this down showing. You just aren’t sure what Tolbert will do at this point.
Game Notes: Mason Taylor had nine receptions for 67 yards. Both totals were career highs. Taylor has at least four receptions three straight games.
Ryan Flournoy emerged as the top target next to George Pickens in the Cowboys passing game. He had six receptions for 114 yards, leading the Cowboys in both categories.
Broncos 21, Eagles 17
Fantasy Stud: DeVonta Smith. Smith had eight receptions for 114 yards. It was his first 100-yard game of the season. He did not have more than 60 yards in a game before this big performance. He has 19-plus fantasy points two of his last three games, starting to produce better for his fantasy owners
Fantasy Dud: A.J. Brown. Brown had another poor game, catching five passes for 43 yards. He failed to hit double-digit fantasy points for the fourth time in five games. The only positive was he was targeted nine times, giving him at least eight targets four straight games.
Game Notes: JK Dobbins scored a touchdown for the fourth time in five games. He ran 20 times for 79 yards and a touchdown.
Dallas Goedert found the end zone once again, giving him touchdowns three straight games. He had three catches for 19 yards and a score on nine targets.
Bucs 38, Seahawks 35
Fantasy Stud: Emeka Egbuka. There were a lot of big performances in this one, but Egbuka gets the honor. He had another one of his huge games, catching seven passes for 163 yards and a touchdown. He scored 31.3 fantasy points in the game. Egbuka has three games this season with 20-plus fantasy points. He has touchdowns four of five games
Fantasy Dud: Chris Godwin. Godwin still hasn’t gotten into the flow of things just yet since returning from his ankle injury. He had three receptions for 26 yards in an offense that threw for nearly 400 yards. Godwin has six receptions for 52 yards on 14 targets in two games.
Game Notes: Sam Darnold had an unfortunate interception late in the game when his pass hit off a helmet but was fantastic besides that play. Darnold was 28-of-34 for 341 yards and four touchdowns with an interception.
Rachaad White handled most of the load at running back for the Bucs with Bucky Irving out. He ran 14 times for 41 and two touchdowns. White also had four receptions for 30 yards.
Titans 22, Cardinals 21
Fantasy Stud: Calvin Ridley. Ridley finally showed some signs of life, catching five passes for 131 yards. He did not have more than 60 yards in a game all season before this big game. His previous season high for fantasy points was 8.7. Ridley scored 18.1 fantasy points, showing you his potential if things start to click between him and rookie quarterback Cam Ward
Fantasy Dud: Trey McBride. McBride had a rare ho-hum performance. He caught five passes for 41 yards, finishing with fewer than double-digit fantasy points. This was his first game all season failing to hit double-digit points. He had at least 12 fantasy points before this one.
Game Notes: Tyjae Spears made his season debut and ran four times for 14 yards. He didn’t play a whole lot, watching Tony Pollard run 14 times for 67 yards and a touchdown.
Emari Demercado made a crucial mistake, letting go of the ball as he was about to cross the goal line. This pretty much cost the Cardinals the game. He ran three times for 81 yards.
Commanders 27, Chargers 10
Fantasy Stud: Jacory Croskey-Merritt. Croskey-Merritt finally got much of the run at running back and had a big game. He ran 14 times for 111 yards and two touchdowns. He also caught two passes for 39 yards, giving him 150 total yards. Hopefully, this is the game that gets him more consistent work in the Commanders offense
Fantasy Dud: Justin Herbert. Herbert was held in check, going 22-of-29 for 166 yards and a touchdown. The only positive was he led his team in rushing, running four times for 60 yards. But even with that said, Herbert scored just 17.3 fantasy points. He has fewer than 20 fantasy points three straight games.
Game Notes: Jayden Daniels returned from his injury and looked good, finishing 15-of-26 for 231 yards and a touchdown without a turnover. He also ran eight times for 39 yards.
Ladd McConkey found the end zone for the first time this season. He had five receptions for 39 yards and a touchdown on seven targets.
Omarion Hampton went to the locker room with an ankle injury and didn’t return. He ran 12 times for 44 yards and caught six passes for 26 yards.
Lions 37, Bengals 24
Fantasy Stud: David Montgomery. Montgomery did a little bit of everything. He led the team in rushing, running 18 times for 64 yards and a touchdown. He also threw a three-yard touchdown pass. Montgomery scored 18.15 fantasy points after having just 1.2 his previous game. It was a nice rebound performance from Montgomery
Fantasy Dud: Jameson Williams. Williams had just a catch for nine yards in a game the Lions threw for nearly 300 yards and four touchdowns. It was another disappointing game from the talented receiver. Williams had just one good fantasy showing all season. He has fewer than seven fantasy points four of five games.
Game Notes: Jared Goff was 19-of-23 for 258 yards and three touchdowns without an interception. Goff has multiple touchdown passes three of four games.
Ja’Marr Chase had six receptions for 110 yards and two touchdowns. He has 100-yard games two of four.
Patriots 23, Bills 20
Fantasy Stud: Stefon Diggs. Diggs has quickly become the go-to target for Drake Maye. He had 10 receptions for 146 yards. Diggs has two straight 100-yard games. He looks healthy and is making big play after big play for Maye. He is going to be a big-time fantasy receiver the rest of the way
Fantasy Dud: James Cook. Cook came back down to earth, rushing 15 times for just 49 yards. He didn’t catch a pass in the game. It was his first game all season without 20-plus fantasy points. Cook also failed to score a touchdown for the first time. He’ll be fine going forward, but this performance likely hurt a lot of his fantasy owners.
Game Notes: Rhamondre Stevenson lost yet another fumble but rebounded to find the end zone twice. He ran seven times for 14 yards and two touchdowns.
Dalton Kincaid hit the 100-yard mark. He had six receptions for 108 yards. Kincaid has 14-plus fantasy points three of five games.

The Cleveland Browns won't open quarterback Deshaun Watson's (Achilles) practice window this week, according to Scott Petrak of Browns Zone. Watson remains on the Physically Unable to Perform list as he rehabs from a twice-ruptured right Achilles tendon last year. Watson went down with a torn Achilles in Week 7 of last year and continues to rehab from an injury that is expected to keep him out for all of the 2025 season. The Browns haven't offered many updates on the 30-year-old and figure to move on from him after this year. Before his season-ending Achilles injury in 2024, Watson performed poorly under center for the Browns and didn't look anything like the former QB he once was in Houston. The three-time Pro Bowler didn't play at all in 2021 due to a suspension and has started a combined 19 games in three years with the Browns due to injuries.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Todd Bowles said that the team still views running back Rachaad White as a lead back, and now they have two of them with Bucky Irving (foot, shoulder), according to Pewter Report. Bowles added that White is very professional, is a great teammate, and is a great team player. With Irving sitting out of the Week 5 win over the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday, White operated as Tampa's clear lead back and rewarded fantasy managers who had been stashing them on their bench with 14 carries for 41 yards and two touchdowns in the 38-35 victory. The 26-year-old added four catches for an additional 30 yards. The two touchdowns were nice, but White wasn't very efficient as a runner, averaging just 2.9 yards per carry. White's Week 6 fantasy value will depend entirely on whether Irving is back to face the San Francisco 49ers. If Irving misses a second straight game, White will be a plug-and-play RB2 again.

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Christian Watson (knee) was back on the practice field on Monday for the first time since tearing his ACL in the Week 18 regular-season finale in 2024. The Packers opened Watson's 21-day practice window for them to activate him from the Physically Unable to Perform list, but he only went through individual drills in his first practice back. "Today I felt like I was 100%," Watson said. It's unlikely that Watson will make his 2025 debut in Week 6 against the Green Bay Packers, but the team will need to officially activate him within the next three weeks, or he'll be lost for the entire season. The 26-year-old has had trouble staying healthy early in his career, but he provides quarterback Jordan Love with an explosive deep threat when he's healthy. Expect Green Bay to ease him in once he's activated, but that doesn't mean he's not worth stashing in fantasy leagues in the meantime. The Packers' WR corps will be even more crowded upon Watson's return, with Romeo Doubs, Dontayvion Wicks, rookie Matthew Golden, Savion Williams, and Malik Heath all vying for targets. Jayden Reed (collarbone, foot) is currently on Injured Reserve.

Los Angeles Rams TE Tyler Higbee (hip) is making good progress in his recovery, according to head coach Sean McVay.
Fantasy Spin: Higbee did not play in the Week 5 game, so fantasy players will need to monitor his practice participation this week. He has not been a big part of the passing game when he has been healthy this season and can be avoided in most leagues even if he is active for the game.
From TheHuddle
After missing Sunday's Week 5 nailbiter over the Seahawks, Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Bucky Irving (shoulder/foot) is viewed as day-to-day as he deals with a shoulder subluxation, in addition to a sprained foot. After reports emerged last week that Irving was late in reporting the shoulder injury to the team, Head Coach Todd Bowles informed reporters that he was aware of the situation early on. The team is now taking a cautious approach with their second year back. With Irving sidelined on Sunday, it was Rachaad White who saw the majority of the work on the ground, handling 14 of the team's 18 running back rush attempts, and while he only averaged 2.9 yards per carry, he salvaged his fantasy day with two rushing touchdowns and an additional four receptions for 30 yards. With Irving likely to miss additional time and Sean Tucker seeing little involvement in a back-and-forth game, White could be in line for another strong fantasy performance in Week 6 when the Buccaneers face a 49ers defense that just allowed a monster performance to Rams running back Kyren Williams.

As San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy (toe) continues to deal with a turf-toe injury that has now kept him out of three games, backup Mac Jones has stepped in admirably, prompting some to wonder if a quarterback controversy could be brewing in the Bay Area. Appearing on the Pat McAfee Show on Monday, NFL Insider Adam Schefter was quick to dismiss the idea. Purdy and the 49ers agreed to a five-year contract extension before the start of the season that keeps him tied to the team through 2030. So while Jones has been impressive in running Kyle Shanahan's offense and saying the right things along the way, Schefter does not believe there's any threat of him maintaining the job once Purdy returns to health.

Las Vegas Raiders head coach Pete Carroll called star tight end Brock Bowers (knee) "week-to-week" on Monday after the second-year player missed his first game of the year in the Week 5 blowout loss to the Indianapolis Colts, according to Paul Gutierrez of ESPN. Bowers injured the PCL in his knee in the season opener and played through it through Week 4, but they finally shut him down last week. The 22-year-old could now be in danger of missing a second straight game in Week 6 against the Tennessee Titans, depending on how his knee responds to treatment this week. Fellow TE Michael Mayer (concussion) missed a second straight game on Sunday as well, which led to the Raiders bringing up Albert Okwuegbunam from their practice squad. Fantasy managers must prepare for another potential absence from Bowers in Week 6. We should know more about his status once the team resumes practicing on Wednesday.
From RotoBaller
Las Vegas Raiders head coach Pete Carroll had some good words to say about rookie first-round running back Ashton Jeanty after his first five games in the league. "I think Ashton is handling everything beautifully," Carroll said. The 21-year-old Boise State product was a disappointment for fantasy managers who took him early in drafts through the first three weeks, but then he showcased his game-changing playmaking skills in Week 4 against the Chicago Bears when he ran for 138 yards and a touchdown on a season-high 21 carries. He has two rushing TDs and has also added two receiving scores, but he only has 12 receptions through five weeks. In the Week 5 blowout loss to the Indianapolis Colts, Jeanty had single-game career highs in targets, catches, and receiving yards. It hasn't been perfect early on in the Raiders' struggling offense, but Jeanty's explosiveness is evident, making him a must-start RB1 every week. He could easily bust out again in Week 6 versus the one-win Titans.
From RotoBaller
With Carolina Panthers running back Chuba Hubbard (calf) viewed as day-to-day with the calf injury that kept him out of Sunday's win against the Dolphins, and Rico Dowdle coming off the first 200-yard game of his career, the Panthers' backfield situation is suddenly looking cloudy for fantasy managers. In speaking with reporters on Monday, head coach Dave Canales said the team has two good running backs and that, "It's a good problem to have." There were some fears that the 73% running back rush share that made Hubbard a fantasy darling in 2024 would be unsustainable, especially after the team signed Dowdle in free agency. Prior to Hubbard's injury, Dowdle had seen a steadily increasing involvement in Canales' offense. As long as Hubbard is out, Dowdle can be started with confidence, but fantasy managers who can afford to do so should take a longer-term approach to seeing how carries are divvied up when both backs are healthy.
From RotoBaller
During his weekly radio appearance with 105.3 The Fan, Dallas Cowboys COO and Co-Owner Stephen Jones listed wide receiver CeeDee Lamb (ankle) among a group of players who could return within the next two weeks. The All-Pro receiver suffered a high ankle sprain in the team's Week 3 loss to the Bears, and he has since missed high-scoring games against the Packers and Jets. The fact that he was not put on IR was a promising sign that he should be able to return before the Cowboys' Week 10 bye, and the narrative out of Dallas would indicate that the team might be eyeing a Week 7 divisional clash with the Commanders to put him back on the field. Whenever he makes his return, he should be plugged right back into fantasy lineups without hesitation.
From RotoBaller
According to Joe Person of The Athletic, Carolina Panthers wide receiver Jalen Coker (quadriceps) is slated to have his practice window opened prior to Wednesday's practice. This is an excellent sign for the second-year wideout, as he has been on the injured reserve since the beginning of the season. While he was unable to return in Week 5, it appears Coker will be in the mix to make his season debut this weekend when the Panthers face the Dallas Cowboys. As a rookie, Coker showed flashes of potential at times, catching 32 passes for 478 yards and two touchdowns. This season, the Panthers have not had a reliable No. 2 option, opposite of star rookie Tetairoa McMillan, which could open up a large target share for Coker. When healthy, managers should expect Coker to be the primary slot option and carry FLEX value in PPR formats.
From RotoBaller
Cleveland Browns QB Deshaun Watson (Achilles) will not be cleared to practice this week, according to head coach Kevin Stefanski.
Fantasy Spin: It is not known if Watson will be able to return this season, but fantasy players can keep an eye on the situation. Dillon Gabriel should keep the starting job for now after a solid Week 5 performance but will not be a starting option in fantasy leagues.
From TheHuddle
Houston Texans head coach DeMeco Ryans said that the usage of running backs Nick Chubb and Woody Marks is game-plan dependent and also depends on the flow of the game, according to Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Sports. Running backs coach Danny Barrett also has a lot of input on the usage between the two backs. After playing a season-high 56% of the offensive snaps in last week's win over the Tennessee Titans, Marks dropped down to 39% in the blowout win over the Baltimore Ravens in Week 5. Marks' fantasy managers were probably hoping for a lot more against the Ravens' depleted defense, especially in a blowout. The rookie had seven carries for 24 yards, while Chubb finished with 11 carries for a team-high 61 yards and a touchdown on the ground. Chubb and Marks will continue to move forward in a timeshare and will be RB3/flex plays in fantasy, with Marks offering fantasy managers more upside and big-play ability.
From RotoBaller
Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Tre Tucker didn't have an outstanding day by any means on Sunday, but he did lead the team in receiving in their 40-6 blowout loss on the road to the Indianapolis Colts at Lucas Oil Stadium in Week 5. Tucker caught four of his six targets on the day for 62 yards and also carried the ball once for a gain of nine yards. The 24-year-old did lead the Raiders in receiving yards, but fantasy mangers might have been expecting more production from him with star tight end Brock Bowers sidelined with a knee injury. Tucker was tied for second on the team in both targets and receptions on a day in which the Raiders could not find the end zone at all. The third-year wideout already has a career-best four touchdowns through five games in 2025 while adding 286 receiving yards on 19 receptions. Tucker isn't a bad WR4/flex as he continues to gain chemistry with quarterback Geno Smith. A big game could be coming in Week 6 against the Tennessee Titans.
From RotoBaller
Carolina Panthers rookie running back Trevor Etienne was in line for a bigger workload in Week 5 against the visiting Miami Dolphins on Sunday with starter Chuba Hubbard (calf) ruled out due to injury. Etienne did play a season-high 20% of the offensive snaps in the 27-24 victory, but he only handled five touches (four carries and one reception), while Rico Dowdle had a career day with 23 rushing attempts for 206 yards and a touchdown. Dowdle also caught three of his four targets for 28 yards in the passing game. Etienne ran for 22 yards on his four carries and picked up seven yards on his lone reception against Miami. The 21-year-old could be right back to RB3 duties in Week 6 against the Dallas Cowboys if Hubbard is able to overcome his calf injury and get back on the field at practice this week. Even if Hubbard misses another game, Etienne isn't going to be in play as a starting flex option in fantasy lineups on Sunday.
From RotoBaller
San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Kendrick Bourne stepped up in a big way for the banged-up 49ers in their 26-23 win over the Los Angeles Rams on Thursday night, catching a whopping 10 passes on 11 targets for a career-best 142 receiving yards. Bourne was a cutdown-day casualty in New England with the Patriots after training camp, but he latched on quickly with San Francisco and has been a big addition because of injuries to both Jauan Jennings and Ricky Pearsall. The 30-year-old veteran was quarterback Mac Jones' most reliable and productive target as the Niners pulled off the upset on the road at SoFi Stadium. "KB's been awesome for us, man," head coach Shanahan said. Seven of Bourne's 10 grabs came in the second half. Bourne and Jones clearly have chemistry, but Bourne's fantasy value moving forward will all depend on when Jennings and Pearsall return to action.
From RotoBaller
According to Ari Meirov of The 33rd Team, Green Bay Packers wide receiver Christian Watson (knee) was designated for return from the PUP list. The North Dakota State product has been working his way back from an ACL tear suffered earlier this year. It's excellent news for the Pack, particularly with teammate Jayden Reed (collarbone, foot) dealing with his own injuries. The team will now have 21 days to activate Watson before he's forced to miss the remainder of the season. Green Bay is in dire need of some downfield juice with rookie Matthew Golden still adjusting to the NFL, and Watson is capable of giving them just that. There will undoubtedly be a ramp-up period for the former second-round pick, but he's the team's most explosive pass-catcher. His practice status will be worth keeping an eye on over the coming weeks.
From RotoBaller
New England Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel reports that running back Antonio Gibson (knee) will undergo further testing on Monday to determine the severity of his injury. Gibson exited Sunday night's 23-20 upset win over the Buffalo Bills in the second quarter after sustaining a knee injury and was quickly ruled out for the remainder of the contest. Rookie backfield mate TreVeyon Henderson picked up marginally more work in his stead, and figures to split fairly evenly with Rhamondre Stevenson while Gibson is shelved with his injury. The 27-year-old was the team's third option out of the backfield, but with Henderson's inexperience and Stevenson's fumbling issues, he was getting a decent carry share. If Gibson is forced to miss extended time, Henderson would become an increasingly intriguing play.
From RotoBaller
Per ESPN's Ben Baby, Cincinnati Bengals head coach Zac Taylor sounded "open to the possibility of a quarterback change" after another poor showing by veteran signal-caller Jake Browning. When asked if he still believes in Browning moving forward, Taylor replied, "After a game like that, we're going to look at all personnel to make sure we're doing the right thing." Taylor also noted that he still believes the 29-year-old can "win games for us," but it's fair to wonder if his time is running short after a third multi-interception performance in four outings. As for a potential replacement, Cincinnati currently boasts Brett Rypien on its active roster, along with Mike White and Sean Clifford on the practice squad. If the Bengals do opt to go in another direction, it wouldn't be surprising to see them do so from outside the organization. He won't be a recommended fantasy option until stringing together a few more promising outings.
From RotoBaller
Denver Broncos wide receiver Courtland Sutton had an impressive outing in the win versus the Eagles on Sunday. While leading the team in targets, catches, and receiving yards, Sutton showed some dominant contested catches to help out the offense. Outside of his Week 2 dud, Sutton has posted fringe WR1 numbers in every other week. The developments of the rest of the receiver room should only help Sutton elevate his game as teams are forced to pay attention to more than one receiver. Broncos quarterback Bo Nix and head coach Sean Payton clearly trust Sutton the most in crucial moments, which should secure Sutton as a high-upside WR2 going forward.
